For knowing your convictions, seeing where they match someone else's, and having deeper conversations about faith.

A tool for working out what you actually believe, and for helping two people talk about it well. Nine spectrums, then sixteen practical issues. You get a four-letter Conviction Type, a profile you can read, and a share code so you and someone else can see where you line up.

Not a test you pass, and it does not rank anyone's faith. Every option is a position Christians hold from Scripture, with passages for each side linked to the ESV. About 15 minutes.

The premise
Most of what this quiz measures sits outside the core of the faith: real convictions that shape a shared life, but not the things that make someone a Christian. A gap is a conversation, not a verdict.

Christians who take the Bible with equal seriousness land in different places on all nine, usually because they disagree about what a passage requires rather than whether it is true. A low score is not a weaker faith and a high score is not a stronger one; the spectrums show which reading you hold and what you think it asks of you. Every question lists the passages each side argues from, linked to the ESV.
What gets recorded
Anonymous, and here is the whole list. When you start: whatever you picked on the optional dropdowns below. When you finish: your nine scores, the cluster you landed in, how many items you marked "?", and how long you took. If you do the second part: which position you chose on each issue. If you compare with someone: how far apart the two profiles were, which cluster each of you landed in, and the importance each of you set, never the codes and never who. If you tap Share: that you shared. If you send feedback: your rating and whatever you type.

Not recorded: your name, email, IP address, or anything that could identify you. There is no login and no cookie. Two people who compare are not linked to each other in the data.

The second part. Sixteen issues that churches leave open but close relationships cannot. None of these decide whether someone is a Christian. They decide what a Tuesday looks like. Each one asks two separate things:

My view pick one. What you actually hold.
In someone close to me tick every view you could live with in someone close to you. Your own is ticked for you.

The second answer is the one that matters. If you tick everything, nothing will ever flag; if you tick only your own, everything will. Answer it for a relationship where this would actually come up.
